Pre-School Rooms

Pre-School Rooms: Risers 3 – 5 Years

The staff to child ratio in these two rooms is 1:8

Children in these rooms follow a slightly more structured day to help them develop in line with the seven areas of learning and development identified in the “Early Years Foundation Stage” (EYFS). The staff follow a curriculum designed to meet your child’s individual needs, using observation and planning as tools for furthering child development and learning. Fun and exciting activities are always planned responsively to ensure that the children enjoy and benefit from their time in these rooms to the full.

Activity areas include interactive smart board, creative play, construction, book area, science and discovery, music and mathematical resources. Children also benefit from learning how to use and navigate their way around the Internet safely. All these resources and the surroundings of the nursery are used to educate the children about the world around them. All staff in these rooms have had full training in the Early Years Foundation Stage and are chosen because of their experience and general overall knowledge of child development.

Children are required to wear a uniform of red polo shirt / sweatshirt which are readily available from local supermarkets, or with the nursery logo from the nursery office.
